SwapFinder exists to provide cryptocurrency users with factual, unbiased, and transparent comparisons of non-custodial instant exchanges. In an industry crowded with sponsored placements and deceptive "no-KYC" claims that lead to sudden account lockouts, our methodology enforces strict empirical standards.

How We Audit Platforms

1. Real-World Mystery Swaps

We do not rely solely on exchange self-reporting. Our team executes real cross-chain swaps (such as BTC → XMR and LTC → BTC) using self-custodied open-source wallets. We track:

Exact elapsed time from broadcast to receipt
Discrepancy between initial quote and received payout
Mempool fee deduction honesty
Whether any intrusive identification challenges are presented

2. Privacy & Tracking Audits

We inspect network requests on exchange domains to confirm the absence of intrusive third-party surveillance scripts (such as Meta Pixel, Google Remarketing, or invasive fingerprinting beacons). We test availability and stability across the Tor network.

3. Customer Support & Refund Responsiveness

We assess platform support by intentionally simulating edge cases (e.g. sending deposits near expiration or testing refund address returns) to verify that user funds are returned promptly without bureaucratic hurdles.

Editorial Independence & Commercial Disclosure

Strict Editorial Separation: SwapFinder does not sell rankings or placement positions. While we may utilize referral mechanisms to support server infrastructure, an exchange's inclusion, review score, and data accuracy are strictly governed by our testing standards. If an exchange changes its policy or begins requiring surprise KYC, it is flagged immediately in our directory.
